Tata Motors has launched the Tigor facelift with prices starting at Rs 5.20 lakh for the base petrol variant going up to Rs 7.38 lakh for the top-end diesel trim.
Noticeable changes in the Tata Tigor facelift are the refreshed exterior design cues like the square chrome elements inside the headlights, the clear lens tail-lights, a shark-fin antenna and a 36-LED high-mounted stop light with chrome highlights on the door handles, the front bumper, the grill and the fog lamp housings.
The top-spec XZ+ trim is an addition to the variant line-up. It comes equipped with a 7.0-inch Harman-sourced touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto compatibility. This doubles as a display for the reverse camera. Other features on the Tigor XZ+ include faux-leather upholstery, driver’s side seat-height adjust and power-folding wing mirrors with integrated turn indicators.
The Tigor features a dual-tone interior in black and grey with chrome accents around the air vents and infotainment system. The Tigor facelift also comes with a soft touch knitted roof liner and fabric inserts on the door trim.
The 2018 Tata Tigor remains unchanged mechanically, with the same 86 PS, 1.2-litre petrol engine and the 71 PS, 1.05-litre diesel motor. With the former, you have a choice of a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT gearbox, while the diesel only gets a 5-speed manual transmission.
The updated Tigor will be available in a new Egyptian Blue colour scheme option. The compact sedan competes with the Ford Figo Aspire, Honda Amaze, Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Hyundai Xcent and Volkswagen Ameo.
